Building affordable apartments on top of renovated branch libraries in communities across the country has proven to be a creative solution to a growing land shortage. The New York Times reports today on the phenomenon, highlighting an initiative by New York City LISC to support these projects. Two LISC-supported projects in St.Paul and Seattle are also mentioned.
