LISC, Fannie Mae and NAHRO Sponsor Rebuilding Effort in Mississippi

For the second consecutive year, staff from LISC, Fannie Mae, and NAHRO joined local volunteers to help rebuild homes in hurricane-devastated Long Beach, Mississippi. As documented in in the Journal of Housing & Community Development, volunteers spent nearly a week repairing homes and a community center, building a playground, and landscaping recreation areas. Overall, LISC has provided over $3.3 million in grants, over $25 million in loans and $140 million in equity for redevelopment in the Gulf region.
