Project-Related Investments
LISC strategically invests in nonprofit Community Development Corporations to
support LISC’s mission of building and revitalizing Greater Cincinnati &
Northern Kentucky communities. The following projects represent a sampling
of LISC achievements:
The Alexandra Senior Housing Project
Developed by the Walnut Hills Redevelopment
Foundation
A safe, modern, affordable apartment; access to the
bus line; a grocery store across the street. It may sound humble for some,
but for many senior citizens it’s a dream come true. Multiply it by 83
units and the Alexandra Project equals success: well deserved peace of mind for
our seniors.
Cumminsville Residential Project
Developed by Working in Neighborhoods
Success breeds success. Working in Neighborhoods (WIN) has built or
renovated 90 units of housing in the South Cumminsville neighborhood with another 36
housing units and 18 senior housing units in the works. Home ownership has
increased 22% and home values have increased by 25%. LISC is proud to
support this WINning organization.
Burnet Avenue Redevelopment Project
Stimulation. Inspiration.
Realization. It is with great anticipation that LISC and our many fellow
stakeholders look to the Burnet Avenue Redevelopment Project. This
ambitious 4 to 8 block, five year community transformation venture will
incorporate a broad array of redevelopment efforts. From residential
renovation to structural improvement to complete refurbishment of the Burnet
Avenue business corridor, the project promises to bring measurable, tangible
changes to the lives of people who live and work in the Avondale
neighborhood.
The Austinberg Initiative
Developed by the Covington Community Center
Large
scale residential development, such as the LISC supported Austinberg Initiative
in Covington, Kentucky, translates into higher home values, expanded home
ownership, growing business opportunities, and an increased tax base for the
city.
