Resources
National LISC and the Greater Newark & Jersey City Program have developed a myriad of opportunities for community development practitioners to have access to resources that will enhance CDCs capacity to build healthy communities.
National LISC's LISC Online Resource Library website has in-depth information and educational opportunities
covering topics such as affordable housing, social & economic development, land use and
organizational development and planning. The LISC Online Resource
Library also provides policy news, funding opportunities and web
links for community development practitioners.
Also, National LISC's Experts Online Series, an interactive forum for professional discussion among industry experts, as well
as national and local practitioners affords community development practitioners an opportunity to train with experts and learn from their peer's experiences from across the country. The online presentation coupled with the conference call allows participants to hear the expert(s) speak, view the corresponding visual presentation in real
time, and pose written or oral questions to the speaker(s) during the event. The Series is made possible through a partnership with KnowledgePlex.org
In addition, Greater Newark & Jersey City LISC Program distributes an E-Newsletter highlighting program and CDC activities as well as accomplishments. To be added to our E-Newsletter email list, please send an email to gjoab@lisc.org . Past issues are available online.
