| NFL Grassroots Program
Parks and playing fields are tremendous community assets because they offer opportunities for recreation and education that contribute to the local quality of life, especially for young people. A partnership of the National Football League (NFL) Youth Football Fund and LISC provides nonprofit organizations, middle schools and high schools with financing and technical assistance to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of local football fields.
Home of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City is one of 40 cities benefiting from the NFL Grassroots Program. Over $900,000 has been awarded to seven local groups for fields in Kansas City neighborhoods:
