Cesar Chavez Gardens
Chinatown Service Center and Little Tokyo Service Center partnered to develop
Cesar Chavez Gardens. This 47 unit affordable housing development provides supportive
services to project residents including childcare, family health and education,
senior and social services, counseling and youth services, and workforce
development.
Cesar Chavez Gardens is only the second affordable housing
project built in this community since 1991 and is a desperately needed commodity
in a community where the median household income is very low at $29,543 which is
about 47% of the County-wide average of $55,100.
