Programs
LISC’s
efforts in Los Angeles are geared towards coordinating and delivering technical
assistance and amassing/channeling financial resources for CDCs to enable them
to undertake projects and programs geared towards improving the economic,
physical and social living environment of economically disadvantaged
neighborhoods and low-income residents. LA
LISC helps the CDCs pursue comprehensive strategies by offering
multi-faceted programs that provide a range of complementary and integrated
funding that includes direct organizational administrative support, project
financing and technical assistance.
LA LISC is able to meet the growing needs of Los Angeles by administering grants and low-interest loans and through
innovative programs like Neighborhood Turnaround Initiative, Health Sector
Initiative/Bridges to Wellness, The Main Street and Community Safety Initiative, Training Programs
and AmeriCorps.
