About Us


LISC Phoenix was formed in 1992 when the Phoenix Community Alliance invited LISC National to establish a Phoenix program.  Since its inception, the Phoenix office has played an important role in the gradual rebirth of a number of blighted neighborhoods throughout metropolitan Phoenix.  Working in collaboration with grassroots organizations, called community development corporations (CDC's), LISC Phoenix, and its' corporate, foundation and public partners, have created an innovative approach to solving neighborhood problems in distressed, low-income neighborhoods.

Since its founding, LISC Phoenix has built 2,156 housing units, over 251,716 square feet of community office/facility space.  Partnering with government, banking and philanthropic institutions, LISC Phoenix has assisted area neighborhood organizations in becoming powerful agents for change in their communities.

These efforts have resulted in an investment of $57,808,410 million in Phoenix's low-income communities, with an additional $120,840,000 million in leveraged resources from other banking, private industry and public partners.  Most importantly, LISC Phoenix has supported community based organizations in their revitalization efforts and assisted families across greater Phoenix realize their dreams of homeownership.
