What's New

NFLLISC and the National Football League have approved two NFL Grassroots Program awards in Arizona for 2008: Phoenix Rotary 100 Club: $100,000 for development of a football/multipurpose field at the Isaac Middle School. The "Field of Dreams at Isaac," adjacent to the Golden Gate neighborhood, is expected to complete spring 2009.

Boys and Girls Club of Northern Arizona awarded $25,000 to improve the upper field at Posse Park in Sedona with a new public address system and speakers, heavy duty benches, a scoreboard, goal posts, and bleachers. The NFL Grassroots program assists nonprofits to expand youth sports programs with matching grant funding to improve existing fields and develop new ones. Normally only one award is made in any LISC office area each year but, as the host of this year's Superbowl, Arizona will receive two in 2008.
