Place-making

Place-making - Beginning as a pilot project, this initiative provides leadership, technical assistance, advocacy, and resources to advance neighborhood-based revitalization efforts with a more comprehensive approach.

LISC Phoenix, as the convening partner, will coordinate the PNDC (Phoenix Neighborhood Development Collaborative) efforts. Technical assistance, capacity building, seed capital, development expertise and project financing are available through PNDC partners. Equity for real estate projects is available from National Equity Fund (NEF) and the New Markets Support Corporation (NMSC), both affiliates of LISC, through low-income tax credits. Commercial Corridor revitalization helps stimulates local economy by supporting the revitalization of local commercial corridors, small businesses as well as larger scale retail projects.

By pooling resources and collaborating efforts, the PNDC partners envision many positive and measurable outcomes.
